Rams lose fifth straight in loss to Chiefs.

After starting the season 3–3, the Rams have now lost their fifth straight game, falling to the heavy favorite Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, 26–10, dropping their season record to five games below .500 at 3–8.

Without Matthew Stafford in the lineup, who had a strained neck, the Rams looked to Bryce Perkins to command their offense.

Perkins did as much as he could with the little that he had, throwing for 100 yards on 13-of-23 pass attempts with a passing touchdown and two interceptions.

With the departure of Darrell Henderson on Tuesday, you would have thought the bell cow duties would go to Cam Akers. Which, surprisingly, didn't change his role, remaining nonexistent. Akers rushed for 37 yards on eight attempts, splitting carries with Kyren Williams and Bryce Perkins.

The Rams kept it somewhat tight in the first half, with a 13–3 score to start the third quarter, up until Patrick Mahomes started to heat up and cook on offense.

The Chiefs scored on their opening drive to start the second half with a three-yard touchdown up the middle by running back Isiah Pacheco.

On the next drive, the Rams were able to create some momentum on offense and get within the Chiefs' red zone, scoring on 4th and 1 gutsy shotgun play call to Van Jefferson for the five-yard touchdown to get the score at 10–20.

Patrick Mahomes created a beautiful drive to try and answer the Rams' touchdown, threading the football and moving the chains easily against the Rams' defense before a red zone interception by defensive back Nick Scott.

The Rams could not convert the Chiefs' turnover into points, instead turning the ball over themselves with a thrown interception into double coverage by Perkins, with Chiefs' corner L’Jarius Sneed coming up with the pick.

The Chiefs were able to capitalize and score six straight unanswered points to finally put the game away and give the Rams their fifth straight loss.

The Rams’ next matchup will be at home next Sunday against their division rival Seattle Seahawks at 1:05 PST on FOX.
