Rams lose fourth straight in loss to Saints.

After starting the season 3–3, the Rams have lost four straight games since then, falling to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon, 27–20, dropping their season record to four games below .500 at 3–7.

“Our guys battled, you lose Matthew [Stafford], it makes it challenging. I thought Bryce [Perkins] came in there and did some great things,” said coach Sean McVay.

After a solid touchdown drive before halftime, putting them up 14–10, it looked like the Rams were going to build off their momentum in the second half and get back in the win column.

That wasn't the case for Los Angeles, allowing 14 unanswered points in the third quarter while losing starting quarterback Matthew Stafford to a concussion for the rest of the game, leaving Bryce Perkins to take command of the offense.

Perkins’ 64 total throwing yards weren't enough to cut it for the Rams' offense, which couldn't find any rhythm in the second half.

In their disaster season as the reigning champs, the Rams are the first Super Bowl-winning team to have a losing record the following season since the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003, where they went 7–9.

With Cooper Kupp out for 6–8 weeks after undergoing surgery on his ankle, the Rams’ offense seems to have no identity without their star wideout, showing how much production they depended on him for.

Chatarius Atwell was the Rams' leading receiver in Sunday's loss, catching just one pass that went for a 62-yard touchdown. The next leading receiver was Allen Robinson, who ended the day with four catches for 47 yards.

The big question remains: can the Rams find a way to get momentum back and win out the rest of the season, or will they continue on their current course and have one of the worst seasons as Super Bowl champs defending their crown?

The Rams’ next matchup will be on the road next Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs at 1:25 PM EST on FOX.
