Lakers survive past Knicks in OT.

NEW YORK — The Lakers outlasted the Knicks in overtime, 129–123, behind a combined 55 points from LeBron James and Anthony Davis on Tuesday to improve their record to 24–28. 

In Tuesday's overtime win, LeBron James added to his historic resume, passing both Mark Jackson and Steve Nash to become fourth on the all-time assists list.

“I’m happy to be linked with some of the greats,” said LeBron James. 

LeBron finished with his first triple-double of the season, notching 28 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds. 

Anthony Davis finished second on the team with 27 points on 56% shooting overall from the floor, adding two steals and an assist in 36 minutes. 

Russell Westbrook was the main focal point in the Lakers' overtime win, assisting on three straight offensive possessions by setting up teammates in easy bucket positions. 

“It felt like we had control of the game,” said Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook finished with 17 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals in Tuesday’s overtime win. 

In his first crack at the starting rotation, Rui Hachimura finished with a solid outing of 19 points and 9 rebounds, shooting 50% (2-for-4) from three and 66% (8-for-12) overall

The Lakers will continue their five-game road trip this Thursday against the 24–28 Indiana Pacers at 4:00 PM on Spectrum SportsNet.
